Analytical Group Leader II at PPG Industries in Allison Park, PA
Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development and implementation of the strategy for providing the best services to both internal and external customers in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Support the global PPG efforts in streamlining and optimizing analytical processes both in R&D as well as in quality assurances. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances in the relevant field of tools/instrumentations/methods. Responsible for developing and implanting staffing strategy to fulfill the goals and objectives of this group. Agility in managing resources and ability to adapt and influence changes, both organizational and culturally to continue alignment with the strategy and goals of the Analytical group as a whole. Accountable to establish and achieve important metrics that are substantial in measuring the success of the group. Build a culture of high level quality, reliability and customer service. Work with other team leaders to best empower the SMEs embedded in the group to support the strategic priorities identified by the Analytical Group. Ensure the safety of the lab operation in her/his responsible areas. Ownership of High Throughput Analysis Team in Allison Park and Monroeville. Team workload prioritization, resource allocation and quality assurance of results. Recommendations for resource, process, data and skills utilization - and implementation thereof. Team member training, assignments and skills development; data analytics and process/resource optimization for Allison Park and Monroeville. Coordinate with other Team leaders, especially the Technical Resource Team Leader, in resource utilization (both instrumentation and personnel). Qualifications Ph.D. in relevant fields with at least 3 years of research experience, M.S. with 8 years or BS with minimum of 13 years' experience in analytical sciences and/or product development. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and adaptation to change. Experiences in multiple stages of new product development and commercialization processes a plus. Ability to partner with partners through effective team engagement.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
